Caturday in Camden, London

I had actually taken this shot very early on the morning of my London gig, tracing out my pre-printed google map instructions for the walking route to the venue where I was going to be performing that same evening. I had arrived in London from Glasgow the afternoon before and had been exhausted, figuring I would map out all the next day. Like NYC, Londoners seem to be plugged into their ipods and will flounce right by to some invisible beat if you try asking for directions. I came prepared.

Spotted this placid feline, deep in daydream. I found the venue on down an angular street from this one, facing a beautiful part of the lock...and I was ecstatic to find the concert posters in the window (see 10/31 entry). Retraced my steps, passed by this feline again, and found a Sainsbury on Camden Road to pick up a few items for breakfast. I'd paused in front of the magazine rack just inside the entrance, picked up an issue of NME and found a mention of the concert inside.
